Add Materials to a Project
Use this workflow to declare which materials will be used on a project before purchasing them. Declared materials appear in the Inventory table with zero quantities and are automatically pre-selected when you create a Materials Submittal.
Steps
1. Open Add Materials
Navigate to your project, click the Materials tab, then click Add Materials in the Inventory section header.
2. Select materials from the catalog
Search your org's material catalog, check each material you plan to use on this project, then click Add. You can run this step again at any time; Add Materials is always available on the Inventory header.
3. Log quantities as they arrive
The materials appear in the Inventory table with 0 purchased and 0 on-hand. When a delivery arrives, use Add Entry → In (purchased) in the Material Log section to record the quantity. On-hand updates automatically.
